01Access model and legacy retirement
From the Managed Servers 1.5 release, an active project-assigned managed server is the only customer entitlement for IdentDB or Ident.ink bot hosting. Previous Business, Developer, partner, add-on or other plan labels do not grant those two hosted services. Existing records are preserved when legacy access retires, but workloads remain unavailable until a matching server is active.
The official founder account retains permanent included access as a platform entitlement and does not need to purchase or assign customer capacity to itself. This exception does not grant access to another customer's project or records.
02What is being ordered
A managed-server order purchases the stated fixed period of an isolated server configured for either IdentDB or bot hosting. The checkout records the workload, storage, RAM, vCPU, included transfer, backup retention, region, price and term. It is not an immediate increase carved from Ident.ink's primary server.
Ident Group Ltd remains the service provider. Hardware or virtual infrastructure may be obtained from a disclosed or appropriately vetted infrastructure provider. The customer receives use of the managed service, not ownership of underlying hardware, provider credentials, the host operating system or the Ident.ink control plane, unless a separately signed order expressly transfers an asset.
03Payment and order acceptance
The displayed fixed price is collected by Stripe. A checkout-page visit or browser return does not prove payment; a signed Stripe event or server-side confirmation is required. The configuration, price, customer type and maximum possible exit-cost contribution are snapshotted so a later catalogue edit cannot alter a paid order.
Payment funds the order and begins the temporary-service period. The customer expressly requests that basic IdentDB or bot service starts immediately. Ident does not buy or assign the dedicated server during the first seven days.
04Seven-day temporary service and procurement hold
This seven-day decision window includes bounded basic capacity supported by Ident's primary infrastructure. The bridge is temporary, cannot be resold and ends when the dedicated-server lifecycle begins. Ident's contractual promise allows cancellation through the order control during those seven days with a full refund, despite the temporary use.
After day seven Ident may make an irreversible provider commitment. A later change of mind does not create a free-server period or an automatic refund. This commercial cutoff does not shorten a statutory cancellation period or another mandatory remedy; consumer requests are handled under applicable law, including proportionate payment for service supplied where permitted.
05Procurement, verification and handover
After the decision window ends, Ident.ink may procure and enrol a server. It remains disabled and untrusted until the founder verifies payment, health and reported resources and assigns it to the correct project. The service term starts only when handover is recorded.
A server must meet or exceed the paid RAM, vCPU and usable storage configuration. If the ordered configuration cannot be supplied by the stated delivery date, Ident.ink will offer a lawful remedy, which may include an agreed replacement, a new delivery date or refund. It will not silently substitute a materially lower configuration.
06Fixed term and advance renewal
The order runs for three or twelve months from recorded handover, as shown at checkout. Ident will not procure or renew the next provider period using its own funds in expectation of later customer payment. Continued service requires cleared advance payment under a new displayed order or renewal notice before the current funded period ends.
If advance renewal payment has not cleared by the operational cutoff in the notice, renewal is not ordered and the service may enter read-only export or suspension before provider expiry. This prevents a last-minute cancellation from making Ident finance another server period. The customer must keep independent exports of critical data and configuration.
07Cancellation notice and service end
The customer can give cancellation notice in the dashboard or through Support. Receipt stops future renewal and starts a controlled exit. Ident may place the service into read-only export, suspend execution and end the provider resource at the earliest safe and contractually available point. Cancellation of access and collection of a valid outstanding balance are separate: Ident will not keep renewing merely because an invoice is unpaid.
Cancellation does not erase charges already incurred, a prepaid fixed term, metered excess expressly priced before use, or a genuine unavoidable provider cost caused by the order. Account deletion does not erase those financial records or liabilities. A valid unpaid amount remains a debt after service ends and may be pursued through proportionate ordinary lawful recovery. Ident will not automatically debit a disputed damages figure, invent an administration penalty or describe a penalty as a provider bill.
08Refund and final-balance calculations
A request after the seven-day contractual promise is reviewed under the order, the general Refund Policy and mandatory law. Where a refund is due, a deduction is limited to itemised service actually delivered and genuine non-recoverable provider cost, taking account of avoided cost and reasonable mitigation. Where a final exit balance is due, it must likewise represent evidenced actual liability and cannot exceed the maximum displayed at checkout without a separate express agreement.
The customer receives the calculation basis and an invoice or evidence reference and can dispute an error through Support. Faulty, misdescribed or undelivered service remains subject to remedies required by law. Nothing creates an entitlement to use twelve days of service, cancel, and recover the entire price where the law permits proportionate or committed-cost deductions.
09Isolation, access and acceptable use
Each assigned node is authenticated with a one-use enrolment, founder approval and a purpose-limited role. A customer receives only documented database or bot controls. No order grants a shell, remote administration of Ident.ink, access to another tenant, infrastructure secrets or permission to scan or attack networks.
Ident.ink may isolate or suspend the server for a credible security, legal, abuse or payment risk, using the narrowest safe action where practicable. Suspension does not determine liability and does not remove complaint, appeal or statutory rights.
10Data location, processors and exit
The order states the intended region. Infrastructure providers may act as subprocessors where they process customer personal data; current provider and transfer information is governed by the Privacy Notice and Data Processing Terms.
At term end the customer must export required data before the stated exit deadline. Ident.ink will delete or return customer data under the retention schedule, subject to backups, security records, fraud prevention, disputes and legal holds. Allocation records and billing evidence may be retained where legally necessary.
11Document priority and rights
These terms supplement the accepted order, Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Privacy Notice and Data Processing Terms. The accepted order controls its configuration and price; these terms control managed-server matters; the Terms of Service controls general matters. Mandatory law prevails over every document.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or prevents a customer from using Support, a competent regulator, an alternative dispute process where applicable or a court.
The seven-day full-refund promise is additional to mandatory rights. Cancellation stops renewal but does not erase a valid, evidenced balance already incurred.
